Review of Last Life in the Universe (2003) by Henrik C — 16 Nov 2007
A very beautiful and at the same time very dark, dream-like and surreal film. On the contrary to most of today's ultrahyperactive Hollywoodmovies, east-asian movies really know how to be slowpaced and at the same time very soothing.
Christopher Doyle does once again an excellent job with the cinematography which suits the mood of the film perfectly! The soundtrack adds just as much to the overall experience with it's mesmerizing and melancholy music.
If you haven't seen it, See It! And if you have, See It Again!
