Review of Last Life in the Universe (2003) by Pinklama R — 03 Feb 2010
Last Life in the Universe is a slow moving Thai film that does have alot going for it, but I think that the pacing gets the best of it. The film is about a guy that gets mixed up in the yakuza and a girl that accidently kills her sister and the connection the two leads share after such losses.
Asano seems to be a little too subdued in his role having just finishing Ichi the Killer it's kind of shocking, but it is a good show of the actor's scope. Not a bad film by any means it packed with beautiful shots and pays loads of attention to the minorest detail.
