Review of Land of the Dead (2005) by Edward C — 04 Dec 2009
This is the first George a Romero movie I have seen and for the most part it shows why he was such an influence in the zombie horror genre. The locations are very interesting and the death scenes are very creative.
It is possible to pick apart this movie for all its realistic flaws but its not the same movie if you do. Like the final destination movies this has some creative deaths and a well paced entertaining plot line and narrative arc, granted this movie is not as good as the final destination quadrilogy it means that you are never bored while watching it.
The end seemed to be building up to a big scale battle but it never showed one but overall this is an entertaining gory ride.
