Review of Lakeview Terrace (2008) by Donna J — 08 Dec 2009
Neil Labute's drama Lakeview Terrace really disappointed me as a viewer. The movie, starring Samuel L. Jackson and Patrick Wilson, lacked action, suspense, and drama. Lakeview Terrace starts out as a homely movie with a new couple moving in on the block. But the couple is interracial and Abel(Jackson) has a big problem with that.
After repeated tries of trying to annoy them out off the neighborhood, he gets desperate and hires one of his informants to trash the Mattson's residence. This plan unravels on him and he is forced to shoot the informant. After Chris(Wilson) discovers Abel's plot, he and his wife are now in a life and death fight for their lives.
A really disappointing movie with an even more disappointing end. The start of the movie drags on and when you think the action is coming, the movie ends. Not one of Jackson's better movies, I rate this movie a 2 of 5.
