Review of Lake Mungo (2009) by Enrique R — 24 Jun 2011
This faked documentary style ghost story of a family dealing with the loss of their teenage daughter deserves to be as wll known as Paranormal Activity and The Blair Witch Project. Initially more sad than scary, it in the end builds up a genuine sense of impending dread.
The cast are all excellent and it is easy to believe it's real. It has some great cinematography both of the bleak landscape and the creepy house interiors. A fine chiller which you will probably find yourself thinking of when you try to get to sleep.
