Just a fantastic film. At first, it seems as if this is going to be another in a long line of found footage movies. What it ends up being is something else completely. From the advertising, it seems as if this will be a horror movie.
It ends up being more of a study of the girl and the effects she has on her family. Not everything is explained and it leaves you with questions about all of the characters. I was completely fascinated and haunted by the daughter, player by Talia Zucker, and the choices she made.
Yet another quality effort from Australia. A subtle effort where you care about all the characters. This is a movie I will be thinking about for awhile. Unfortunately, I read that they will be doing an American remake.
I am really dreading that as it will probably not be nearly as subtle and will be the only version people see of this movie. Do yourself a favor and watch this. It is streaming on Netflix right now.
