Review of Ladyhawke (1985) by Matthew A — 19 Apr 2012
Here's a sleeper, fantasy film from the 1980s that benefits from inspired performances by the two leads: Rutger Hauer and Michelle Pfeiffer. The story and ambience pull us into this fantasy world while a young Matthew Broderick provides some comic relief in an early supporting role.
The picture's glaring weakness is its cheesy music score. A definite cult item that's worth viewing.
