Review of Lady Snowblood 2: Love Song of Vengeance (1974) by Zak G — 10 Nov 2004
YEAH, so this has been said before, but Netflix kicks all that is ass and then some. It affords me the possibilty to see all these fucking great films that I would never have the chance to see. Take LADY SNOWBLOOD for example. I had heard that it was pretty much the direct inspiration for KILL BILL, so naturally, I had to rent it.
And I'm here to tell you, that it's a great, great film. I love the use of music, the editing, the style, it all flows together to make a martial-arts masterpiece. Now it's up to the sequel to kick at least 3/4 of the ass that the first one did. What a fucking film.
Speaking of being blown away, I'm sure everyone's seen that new REVENGE OF THE SITH teaser that owns and rocks all sorts of ass seen or known to man. When I saw the first two trailers for the first two prequels, I was kind of like, "whatever, I'll see it just because it's STAR WARS." With this one, motherfucker. I feel like I have to see that bitch RIGHT NOW. God, what a fucking great trailer. The end product might end up blowing ewok dick, but dammit if that first teaser doesn't have me hooked, kids.
Apparently, my brother from another mother Darbs wasn't lying when he told me that a lot of the Panera Bread females look at me as the "paragon of lust" and the sorts. It's weird to go from having no girls talking about you to a lot of girls talking about you. Back in high school this shit was unimaginable. I don't think I was on the map back then. Of course, the Darbs is quite the object of female affection as well. I think there's a certain female RT member that can agree with that.
My next 5 from Netflix go.........
1. IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE.
2. I'M NOT SCARED.
3. 5 FINGERS OF DEATH.
4. HENRY:PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER.
5. GERRY.
BOOM!!!! Tough actin' tanactin.............
