Lady Snowblood: Love Song of Vengeance is the sequel to the amazing original Lady Snowblood. We get a solid movie that can't quite match the original.
Yuki is a fugitive on the run after killing over 30 people in the original film. She eventually gives in and is sentenced to death by hanging, but the secret police free her to aid them in retrieving a confidential document from an anarchist. What they don't expect is Yuki's compassion towards the anarchist and his cause.
Lady Snowblood is a fun flick with some great gore, and a good story. As a standalone film, Love Song of Vengeance would be a standout film, but as a sequel to the incredible original, it becomes overshadowed.
What can I say, watch this if you have seen the original, otherwise do yourself a favor and seek out the original Lady Snoblood because it will NOT disappoint.
