Review of Lady in the Water (2006) by Frank B — 28 May 2010
I think Shyamalalnananalan's been told he's good too many times. Here, he thinks he can lecture on storytelling only to forget the most important aspects: plot, character and deus ex machina, all of which he completely screws up, leaving the film as a rambling make-it-up-as-you-go-along mess.
Though it is well directed.
