Review of Lady Bird (2017) by Richard S — 07 Feb 2018
Greta Gerwig shows amazing talent as a director. Her film is light and flows along smoothly, yet has subtle explosions of emotion, heart and humor. In the hands of a lesser director, this film would've failed.
In Gerwig's hands, it soars so smoothly that by the time it reaches it's highs, the viewer is taken by surprise at how easily the story takes us there. The cast is fantastic and the stories the character tell are relatable to most of us.
I can see why this film was so critically hailed, it's fantastic.
