Review of Lady Bird (2017) by Lanceeyy — 19 Feb 2018
A typical coming-of-age movie. It does everything right. The relationship between Lady Bird, and her mother is as tumultuous as puberty itself. This movie will make you laugh, cry, and be angry. Lady Bird's acting is spot on, and is very natural, as is her mother's.
They really feel like a real mother, and teenage daughter. The character development is there and you can see Christine's maturation as it unfolds, albeit rather destructively. The film is witty, funny, and offers another look into teenage development.
