Review of Lady Bird (2017) by Wael — 28 Dec 2017
Depicting teenage rage and the relatable burning need to get out of your small town life after school in a truly fashionable manner, “Lady Bird” is the most heartwarming and eclectic coming-of-age drama I have seen in a while.
Among other fascinating factors such as the direction, the simple photography, and the plotline, Saoirse Ronan’s performance is undeniably outstanding and shameless, and a nod at this year's Oscars wouldn’t be a surprise at this point.
It is a slick and smart film, with moments that generate giggles, and others that send the tears jerking. “Lady Bird” has something for everyone, and is easily one of the best movies of the year without even trying.
