Review of La Vie en Rose (2007) by Darryl K — 21 Nov 2010

Cotillard deserves every award that she has received for her portrayal of singing legend Edith Piaf. It is simply amazing and tops off the rich, beautiful look of the film perfectly. I found the story structure to be a bit confusing at times, jumping back and forth to points in her life, simply because (showing my own ignorance) I know nothing of the singer and her landmarks (however this structure was done more than likely as a reflection of her deteriorating memory and mind).

Still the true story of this singer is an amazing journey and can easily be recommended to anyone (whether you know her or not).
