Marion Cotillard gives one of the greatest onscreen performances ever, in a film that oozes with tragedy in nearly every moment. The end result leaves a lasting impact that stays in the gut the morning after.
As sad as it is to watch, "La Vie en Rose" is refreshingly honest with its look at Edith Piaf's life.
