Review of La Strada (1954) by Mike T — 03 Mar 2009
An audacious, colorful film that finds potent metaphors in the bridge between the psychological and professional lives of artists. Masina is brilliant at achieving the delicate art of genuine charm and Anthony Quinn brings one of the most authentically cruel brutes I have ever seen in a film.
Fellini's direction is engaging and beautifully expressive.
