What a surprise of the Fellini's early movies. I don't even get his later movie. the carefree girl follows the traveling entertainer who is a rough guy. a few times, the girl can leave in his hand, but she didn't do it, because the man is her host.
One IQ less girl knows what is duty, but that guy ? he killed a man and even covered the accident. he fall away the girl on the road. After a few years, he knows the girls was died by him, he feel compunction.
One more thing, "after many years", maybe many movies will show up on the screen. however, La Strada shows up "after many years" by the man asking the woman. And I like it.
