Review of L.A. Story (1991) by Syd B — 13 Nov 2007
Such an underappreciated gem. It's a little dated (L.A. in the 80s - yikes, the hair) but still full of little truths about the place we love (which can be romantic in its own silly way). If I remember correctly, Steve Martin wrote it because he had a long-running catalogue of things about living in L.
A. he loved, hated and was amused by; this movie is the result. Love it. And remember: you're nobody in L.A. unless you live in a house with a really big door.
