Review of La Notte (1961) by Ilia M — 11 Jul 2008
Jeanne Moreau is probably the most stunning beauty I've ever seen. This movie starts and remains slow, but is really interestingly idiosyncratic. My favorite "weird" parts were when someone said, "i'm sensitive.
..or at least my dentist says so" and when a drunk woman makes out with a statue. The last 5 minutes, for its simplicity, will really blow you away- every angle looks like a painting, often with Jeanne Moreau's breasts in the very center.
also a scene with her and a random guy driving slowly in the rain will knock you senseless. Anyway I never saw "l'avventura" and since this is part of that triology, NOW I WILL.
