Review of La Notte (1961) by Will D — 02 Sep 2009
A masterpiece carried on by Antonioni, with the most valuable assistance of his cinematographer, who delivers mind blowing photography. "La Notte" explores the boredom and shallowness of bourgeoisie like no other -- it surpasses even Fellini's "La Dolce Vita", once it goes deeper into the character's feelings and values.
Marcello plays both. And what great actor he is.
