Review of La La Land (2016) by Kade C — 15 May 2017
One of the more surprising films I've seen in a while. As someone who isn't a big fan of musicals whatsoever, La La Land is just flat out fun. With a great performance from Ryan Gosling, and a brilliant performance from Emma Stone, they make a story that could have been very bland pop with charisma (and randomly breaking out into song, of course).
If you have been on the fence about seeing this movie, give it a chance and it may truly surprise you.
