Review of La La Land (2016) by Jin T — 17 Oct 2017
A more glamorous broadway-ish but in movie form. La La Land reminds me that dreams and ambitions can still happen, if you really try. But then again, there are sacrifices to make along the way, just to get to where you need to be.
The music in this film is the best I've seen since 2012's Les Miserables. Even that movie was as surprising as La La Land. If you don't like Jazz and broadway stuff then you can forget it and move on.
But if you like quirky yet face the music stuff like La La Land then stay and enjoy the story because Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone did an outstanding performance. The one intense song called "Someone in the Crowd" is still playing in my head as I type this and it gives me an inspiring feel.
Makes me want to chase my dreams, if you will. The story is so typical but it's so good because it's a good reminder that even if you can't, you can and just do it. La La Land is another great movie and I'd probably would watch it again because of the acting performance and especially the music.
