Loved it by the end, initially, when I started watching the movie I was like, how can this be the Oscar-winning direction, yea its decent but an Oscar winner no way, while I enjoyed the jazz music scores, the musical dance numbers were tedious for my taste.
What I really enjoyed was the romantic chemistry between the leads. It's the bittersweet ending or to be more precise the perfect and most complete ending I have seen that made me love the movie. No wonder it is the best-directed movie of its year.
Both the leads, the direction and the screenplay are superb.
