Review of La Haine (1995) by Scott J — 03 Nov 2009
Mathieu Kassovitz (not known as a director) gives you a modern classic. At times hard to swallow, yet cannot take your eyes off it, from the sublime first scene to the last.
Rarely have I ever felt my own values were punched around, as this film has seeding anger right through it.
Poweful and memorable.
