Review of La Dolce Vita (1960) by Albino Christopher C — 28 Mar 2009
A stunning depiction of the human condition, as told through a man struggling to find his place in life and in upper-class Rome. Add to that a number of distinct and hard-to-forget scenes, Nino Rota's memorable soundtrack as well as the fun-loving Italian culture as backdrop, and you get a film that is worthy of four stars.
The characters may be unlikeable and the film sequence does lack in structure, but I believe those were intentional.
