Review of La Dolce Vita (1960) by Brad S — 08 Oct 2014
The film has an excellent, timeless, and still very relevant thematic pursuit "what is best way to live life?" but, because its central character never feels (or at the very least shows us) his escapades, makes the entire endeavor feel colder and more distant than it should.
That aside, its narrative style hasn't aged well leaving audiences struggling for empathy and coherence. Still, its amazing production and insightful subplots are interesting if for themselves.
