Review of La Dolce Vita (1960) by Michael O — 16 Jan 2010
La Dolce Vita is definitely a landmark in cinematic history. Drawing very clearly on influences ranging from Bunuel's surrealism to the neo-realist movement, Fellini crafts a beautiful, free-flowing story with profoundly striking visuals and narrative developments.
Light-hearted, dark, and troubled all at once, La Dolce Vita functions in ways not unlike life and love themselves.
