Review of La Cage aux Folles (1978) by Conrad M — 24 Jul 2007
The hollywood remake was good but this movie was really excellent... the comedy is a bit more subtle and contextual...though the costumes were not, specifically "Jacob" the butler/maid... the scene with the toast (biscottes en francais) was hilarious and I dont remember it in the remake.
.. my basic french can only get me so far so I had to rely on the subtitles... quite the classic.
