Review of La Bare (2014) by Aljorie S — 06 Oct 2014
Enjoyed watching the documentary! Loved hearing the background of the various young good looking man and what brought them into the world of stripping. I was even more impressed that some of the guys (being realistic of their current profession) are looking into going into other business ventures (like the one who wants to resume a restaurant and cooks burgers for the guys). Documentary took a dip on the sad side with one of the strippers who met with an unfortunately passing. Kudos to Master Blaster helping the young fellas get on the straight and narrow on what they gotta do to maintain their money, body and right frame of mind in that intoxicating business.
I felt bad for the young big woman who somehow allows her money to be used to be liked by attractive men with hot bodies. That she must pay $$ in order for them to give her attention I found pathetically sad.
Yet apparently per this documentary it is not uncommon for women who perhaps can't get male attention elsewhere (or make their own efforts to do that) to drop $1000+ on a regular to pay the bills and various grown man toys of these male strippers!
The laughable part to me of the documentary? The club La Bare has a Dallas and Houston location in the reddest of socially conservative of states in the union! The irony of that and the women patronizing such a place is soo striking!
