Review of Kwaidan (1965) by Neil O — 15 Aug 2008
Kwaidan is quite possibly the most beautiful horror movie ever made. Superb cinematagoraphy with an epic feel, the pacing is very deliberate and slow but gives the viewer plenty of time to appreciate the numerous beautiful on screen images.
The four ghost stories here don't try to bludgeon your senses with blood and violence, rather they pull you in with their vivid imagery, entrance you and invite you to become deeply involved with their spellbinding fashion.
