This film changed my view of what is real. I can't offer any higher a compliment than that. As the Dalai Lama is advised before he conducts the stunning sky funeral of his own father, "do not be distracted". I have tried not to be. (Colin, I hope you tried also).
Listen to Philip Glass' soundtrack on its own sometime. Himself a Buddhist, he's added considerable depth to the simple powerful and powerful history of the Fourteenth Dalai Lama.
