Review of Man of Tai Chi (2013) by Jasen L — 04 Nov 2013
In this Keanu Reeves' directorial debut in which he co-stars, the worst thing about the movie is... wait for it... Keanu Reeves! I'm not typically a Keanu hater but his acting here is not very good, like bad, really, really bad.
.. terrible. To his credit this was an incredibly ambitious debut, "Man of Tai Chi" is a Chinese language, martial arts film which couldn't have been easy and casting himself as the villain was probably to attract a wider international audience.
All that aside some amazingly choreographed fighting here and a decent performance from Chen Lin Hu who plays a conflicted heir to an ancient form of Tai Chi. Some cool visuals but wait for the download.
