Review of Kong: Skull Island (2017) by Gregory M — 19 May 2017
This was so much fun and really entertaining. It doesn't take itself too seriously, but it knows what it stands for. Has some really good photography and the directional choices at times really managed to impress me.
It's too much of a comedy and at times it's too gory. You know the story already, you know what it wants to communicate, you have seen it plenty of times in the movies before, but it still offers the action that's really going to keep you interested once more.
Is so much acting talent required for this movie? It sure isn't. Is it good that it's there? It sure is. Was it necessary though? Nah!
