I have seen some REALLY bad King Kong (and Godzilla) movies in my time, this was better than bad not blow you away fantastic. Good cast, beautifully shot, with lots of KONG quickly & all the way through.
Gets lost a bit with the Vietnam War analogues & Brie Larson had little to do but stand with her chest out hands on hip "don't need no man" sort of way throughout. Solid 7.
