Review of Knife in the Water (1962) by David M — 31 Jul 2010
Not too much actually happens for most of the movie. But the fact that you are waiting for more to happen makes it quite suspenseful. Still, unlike a suspenseful Hitchcock movie, this is not going to appeal to the average moviegoer, even the average movie buff: this is definitely for the "art film" fans.
Fans of Ingmar Bergman, for example, might find it of a more familiar and attractive narrative style.
