Review of Knife in the Water (1962) by Mike H — 23 Nov 2010
Knife in the Water is a magnificent first film for maestro filmmaker Roman Polanski. Its such a simple film and its beautifully shot. This has to be regarded as on of his finest when talking Polanski films.
The tension keeps building as the two males in all their machismo glory continually try to top the other. The middle aged communist and the young rebelious drifter. The last act is incredible and full of suspense.
This is definalty a film not to be over looked. Higjly recommended.
