Review of Kiss Me Deadly (1955) by Chris H — 02 Feb 2008
The MacGuffin is bonkers and the plot is nonsense, but Aldrich invents numerous pieces of film language in the picture and experiments with countless others, whilst the characters feel extraordinarily real and Ralph Meeker creates one of most defined characters in noir.
To be admired, rather than enjoyed.
