Review of Kiss Me Deadly (1955) by Fraser C — 21 Nov 2008
Billed as 'classic film noir' in actual fact simply sh1t!
The original book is classic and brilliant hard boiled detective novel. This film destroys the story of the book. It also ruins the character of Mike Hammer, taking away from him some of the traits that make him such a brilliant and uncompromising character.
I love the Mike Hammer stories, and indeed am a fan of Film Noir, but I could not find anything positve to say about this atrocious film.
