Review of King Kong (1933) by Trey D — 19 Aug 2010
Though technically brilliant for the time it was made, the effects cannot make up for the lack of any character development or any good acting. The story is of course brilliant but it feels more like a underdeveloped short film than a feature.
Sadly, I cannot agree with any of the good reviews from the critics. Not only is the acting crap, the body count is so large it isn't striking. And there is no suspense, all we get are the screams of innocent people and then their demise.
It's uninteresting and not any fun to watch. To bad, they really could have made something brilliant.
