Review of King Kong (1933) by Simon D — 01 Nov 2013
I can't say it's aged well, but one can still see the importance of this movie to film history. And the Empire State Building scenes at the end still pack a wallop. Very iconic. And judging from the docs on the Bluray, the work that went into the special effects are indeed commendable.
I just don't think the story was done well, even with all of the groundbreaking special effects. Fay Wray was very beautiful, though.
