Review of King Kong (1933) by Bryce I — 17 Mar 2014
Though the special effects are certainly dated in places, this film is still thrilling. The forbidden romance (unreciprocated of course), the far away Indonesian island, filled with dinosaurs and a legendary giant gorilla, and the use of claymation made this film truly amazing.
Perhaps the most memorable part about this film is Fay Wray's screaming. Nobody else can scream as good as Fay Wray. The epic battles and the climax atop the Empire State Building never cease to amaze!
