Review of King Kong (1933) by Jared S — 13 May 2014
This is the movie that made me appreciate old movies. Especially the talents of Willis O'Brien, whom inspired Ray Harryhausen who went on to produce the special effects for many of my favorite movies.
Really, I can't think of anything really bad about this movie... It still holds a place in my heart, even after fifteen years from when I first saw it as a boy. I suppose, the only issue people might have with it nowadays would be how dated it is.
And with everyone's entertainment being thrown toward them at the speed of light, I doubt a vast majority of this newer generation could appreciate the subtleties of this film.
