Review of Killshot (2008) by Private U — 27 May 2009
A real estate agent and her husband are forced into hiding after seeing the face of a mafia hit man. He's a ruthless killer that won't stop hunting them until he has tied up every loose end and delivered the final killshot.
As in other Elmore Leonard novels and adaptations, the criminal world is rife with unusual characters who get themselves into strange and uncomfortable situations. This is a deceptively good thriller fraught with some very tense moments. Excellent performances from a sexy Diane Lane who faces off against an eminently dangerous Mickey Rourke. Joseph Gordon-Levitt also delivers the goods in a typical Elmore Leonard role - someone who could be a psychopath or an imbecile but not both.
