Tarantino's ultimate tribute to martial arts epics is about a female out for revenge, after her daughter and husband-to-be are killed by a group of trained assassins she used to be a part of, led by the mysterious figure of Bill.
A majestic work of sheer entertainment overflowing with creativity. Tarantino expands on the typical revenge flick storyline by employing a highly energetic style that makes it look as much an arthouse film as a blockbuster.
Visually, it's beautiful, and its huge fight sequences are just magnificent. Uma Thurman in the lead role of the Bride, portrays one of her most recognisable role.
