Review of Kikujiro (1999) by Spencer L — 09 Jun 2007
Kikujiro holds special meaning for me. Not only did it introduce me to Takeshi Kitano, it opened up a whole new world at the age of 12; The world of Asian cinema.
Kikujiro was Kitano's follow up to the wonderful reception of Hana-Bi and considered by many (myself included) to be his funniest and lighthearted film. It certainly shows Kitano's diversity whilst never straying from the underlining components of his unique filming style.
