Realistic & believable. With hints of both "Kids" & "Small Faces", it's a sometimes bleak reminder that whilst youth culture changes rapidly, the underlying issues either get ever more serious, or improve so slowly it's hard to notice at all.
But some of them do improve, and Kidulthood is reassuring too, not all bad news..
