Review of Kidulthood (2006) by Kelsi-Dean B — 04 Jul 2008
Did you ever see that movie 'Kids'?? Well, KiDulthood is basically a modern, english version of that. And that's not a bad thing. Behind the violence, swearing, sex and drugs, kidulthood has a very heartfelt story about the struggle some kids face on a daily basis, and sadly, it's not that much of an exageration on real life, which just makes it that much more hard hitting.
I was hooked from the opening minutes, and from a filmmakers point of view - extremley impressed and suprised with the look of the movie considering it's minsucle budget. An instant modern classic that must not be overlooked.
Don't let the 'chavvy' theme put you off - this film is superb and I'm itching to see the sequel.
