Review of Key Largo (1948) by Avital G — 19 Feb 2010
Well, It's the third film I remember where Bogart says he only acts in his own benefit only to find out he's a hero in his heart. So this tendency is over-used. I'm not a fan of giving the same eternal role for an actor. Also, they snap at him because at one point he's not willing to die for a principle. Well, COME ON...
But, Edward G. Robinson as Johnny Rocco, is wonderful. I find this actor great-greater than Bogart. The sexual tension between Bogart and Lauren Bacal-------l is fantastic, and there are good lines here and there.
