Review of Kelly's Heroes (1970) by Michael D — 14 Jul 2010
Just look at that cast!
This is one crazy movie. It's a standard caper, with the stock rag-tag bunch of misfits coming together to make a big score of $16 million in gold bars behind Nazi lines. What makes it crazy is the anachronistic seventies score and Donald Sutherland, as a free-thinking hippie (in WWII, remember!) tank driver. Overlong, but really fun.
