Review of Kagemusha (1980) by Devon T — 14 Jun 2007
Not as good as Ran, but still an accomplished Kurosawa film by many standards. Good story, great sets/costumes, and highly thematic. This film is pretty much the dress rehearsal to the superior force that is to become RAN in a few years ahead.
Although the film is slow overall, it's a rewarding experience if you can sit through all that. Highly recommended Samurai epic film.
